Suspension and Steering Repair in Georgetown

Shocks, struts, joints, tie rods and power steering inspected by hand and by road test, so the part that is actually loose is the part that gets replaced.

Rough Roads Find Weak Suspension Parts

Frost heaves, gravel pull-offs and the occasional pothole on the frontage roads all work on ball joints, tie rods and shocks. Wear builds slowly, so a driver often gets used to a little wander or a knock over bumps until a tire wears out early or the steering feels vague at highway speed.

We find suspension faults with the vehicle on the lift and the weight off the wheels: prying on joints, checking for play at the steering rack, looking for leaking shocks and listening on a road test. You get a list of what is loose, how loose it is and which items affect safety now.

Every suspension and steering repair we complete is covered for 12 months or 12,000 miles.

What Suspension and Steering Work Includes

Only the parts the inspection shows to be worn are quoted.

  • Shocks and struts

Leaking or worn dampers replaced in axle pairs so the vehicle stops bouncing and the tires stay planted on rough pavement.

  • Ball joints

Joints with measurable play replaced before they separate, which can let a wheel fold under the vehicle.

  • Tie rods and ends

Inner and outer tie rods checked for looseness that causes wander and uneven tire wear, and replaced as needed.

  • Control arms and bushings

Cracked or collapsed bushings and bent arms replaced to stop clunks and keep the wheel geometry stable.

  • Wheel bearings

A humming or grinding bearing confirmed on the lift and replaced before it overheats or loosens the hub.

  • Sway bar links and bushings

Worn links that knock over bumps replaced, restoring a firm, quiet feel in corners.

  • Power steering diagnosis

Pump noise, fluid leaks, heavy steering or electric assist faults traced and repaired.

  • Steering rack and gearbox

Leaking or loose racks and gearboxes replaced to remove free play in the wheel and stop fluid loss.

How a Suspension Visit Works

Most single-part repairs are finished the same day.

  1. Describe the symptom

A clunk, a pull, a wandering feel or a tire wearing on one edge each point to different parts. Tell us which one you notice.

  2. Lift, pry and road test

We inspect every joint and damper with the weight off the wheels, then drive the vehicle to confirm what we found.

  3. Quote, repair, re-check

You get a prioritized list with prices. After the approved work, we road test again so you feel the difference before you drive away.

Why Suspension Work Is Done Right Here

The goal is a vehicle that tracks straight and stays that way.

  1. Play measured, not guessed

Each part on the quote is there because it moved when it should not have.

  2. Safety first in the list

Ball joints and tie rods that affect control are separated from comfort items that can wait.

  3. Covered in writing

Repairs carry our 12-month, 12,000-mile repair warranty.
